Our Preschool

Daily schedules are designed to

enable each child to explore areas of

interest be creative, and learn

problem-solving and personal

interaction skills necessary to be

successful by participating in:

*creative learning centers

*children working in a

nurturing atmosphere

*extensive art and music

*a curriculum rich in science

math and language arts

*time for constructive play both

indoors and outdoors in our

sensory play area

*emphasis in healthy snacks by

incorporating an interactive

nutrition curriculum.

The Director and Teachers at First

Christian Church are licensed and

follow the requirements of KDHE,

the Kansas Department of Health and Environment.

Continuing education is on-going providing

the teaching staff with current innovative techniques in early childhood development

and education.

The church and local donations sponsor the scholarship program which is available for qualifying families. We follow the USD 308 calendar, operating during the school year only.

Our options are:

3 year olds

Mon./Wed. am 8:30-11:00

Tue./Thur. am 8:30-11:00

4 year olds

Mon. through Thur. pm

12:00–3:00 pm

Our preschool program at

First Christian Church is designed to

meet the challenges of preschool children.

We have programs for 3 and 4 year olds.

Each program is designed to offer many different avenues that will enable children to grow by focusing on:

* cognitive/language

* social

* emotional

* physical

* creative development

Each of these areas is vitally important to a well-rounded child that is ultimately ready to enter kindergarten with confidence and the ability to be independent.
